Jersey-based lottery and games provider Twelve40 has launched Take5Live, an innovative football betting game, on Islands Lotto, the Channel Islands-based online lottery operator.

While watching live matches, viewers can use their smartphone or computer to bet £1, £2 or £5 at 4/1 odds whenever they think a goal will be scored by either team in the next five minutes. If a goal is scored within the time, their account is credited with their winnings immediately.

Take5Live is the latest game to be added to Islands Lotto, which supports sporting, educational, cultural and community projects in Guernsey, Jersey and the Isle of Man. A proportion of profits from the Jackpot6 lottery are given to The Islands Foundation to provide financial assistance to individuals, teams, non-profit making organisations and community-based projects.

Andy Jarrett, Twelve40’s CEO, said: “A game like Take5Live is perfect for the World Cup, and we’re delighted that it’s now available on Islands Lotto. Whether they’re supporting England, Portugal or France, we think this will be a big hit with everyone here throughout the World Cup and beyond.

“As a Channel Islands company we’re very proud to be at the cutting edge of our industry. We’re powering gaming operators in Mexico, Nigeria, Kenya and elsewhere, enabling them to raise money for local causes, and we’re proud to be bringing this latest innovation back home.”
