The Jersey Football Association are offering a FREE Euro Come & Play Football Festival for girls in school years 1 – 6 to kick start the celebration of the 2022 Women’s Euro tournament.
The festival is based around fun and enjoyment where any girls who currently play football or are interested in starting can come along to Springfield Stadium to play matches. The festivals have been a huge success in the last year with both July and October’s festivals in 2021 reaching between 90 – 125 girls attending.
The festival will take place on Saturday 9th July from 10:00am – 11:30am at Springfield Stadium 3G
The aim of the festival is to provide an opportunity for girls to play football in a flexible format where matches and sessions are based around fun and enjoyment. The Jersey FA want to continue to increasing participation numbers to help feed into local clubs and see flexible format football as a great way to encourage new comers to the game.
The Jersey FA also use these festivals as way to encourage new volunteers into the female game, with students/youth players and parents coming along to support the delivery of the festival.
