The Jersey Good Business Charter has launched a new network focused on the ways that business can be a significant force for good in society.
The Jersey Good Business Network is open to individuals who are interested in subjects such as business ethics, corporate social responsibility, sustainability and the growing global focus on ethical capitalism.
The network will hold four events in 2019 with international expert keynote speakers. Each event will focus on an aspect of The Jersey Good Business Charter’s five areas of Good Business, which are: Community, People, Suppliers, Customers and Environment. Guest speakers include Lord Stephen Green, former Global Chairman of HSBC and UK Secretary of States for Trade, and Lord Michael Hastings, Global Head of Citizenship for KPMG.
The Network event is on March 26th, 1630 – 1830 at the Royal Yacht Hotel and has the theme ‘Building workplaces where people flourish’.
The Jersey Good Business Charter is a new Charity which launched last November with the mission to celebrate the good being done by businesses in Jersey and to challenge the island’s business community to go further towards become a world leading example of an ethical business environment. There are currently forty-five local companies at various stages of applying for the Charter status and the first two Charter marks were awarded last month to RBC and Rowlands Recruitment.
