Calling local sports organisations to GET INVOLVED and take part in the island’s first sports survey - with a chance to WIN £1,000!

Jersey Sport are today launching a new sports survey across the island, working with research agency 4GLOBAL, to gain a comprehensive understanding of the formal and informal organised sport and recreation offering in Jersey.

The online survey will gather information about the island’s current sports organisations - what they offer their members, their workforce, and their future ambitions for growth and development. Designed to be completed by the main administrator of each sports organisation, the online survey should take no longer than 30 minutes to answer and every sport that completes the survey will be entered into a free prize draw with the opportunity to win £1,000 for their organisation.

Phil Austin, Chairman of Jersey Sport said, “Jersey Sport are conducting this survey across the island to support and facilitate the growth and development of local sport. We also recognise the important role volunteers play in the island’s sport – they are the backbone of every club, team and sportsperson – and we plan to use the results of this survey to help support them even further.”

Results from the survey will be used by Jersey Sport to help support organisations more effectively and to help facilitate the investment, growth and development of local sport, to continue to inspire an active Jersey.

Deputy Hugh Raymond, Assistant Minister for Sport, said: “This survey provides a valuable opportunity to create a full, up-to-date picture of the existing sporting infrastructure in the Island. Hearing directly from community-based clubs through this survey will give us additional insight that can be used to set a clear direction for sport. It will identity any gaps and enable us to prioritise activity so that sport is accessible to everyone in our Island.”

We play, we support, we watch, we volunteer, we coach, we officiate. Sport is the ultimate community. GET INVOLVED and complete our sports survey to help develop local sport even further!
