Two placement students from the Jersey International Business School have had a positive impact on Moore Stephens, with both accepting roles with the Company following graduation.

Charlotte Black and Tara Le Feuvre have both completed placements at Moore Stephens through the Undergraduate Employment Programme provided by the Business School. The placements ran alongside their two year degrees studying BSc (Hons) International Financial Services, where they split their week between three days at JIBS and two days at Moore Stephens.

Moore Stephens decided on a rotational programme with both Miss Black and Miss Le Feuvre so that they gained understanding and hands-on experience within each department. The company also aligned each placement with part of their studies, allowing them to apply the theory they learnt in their studies to the workplace.

Following her placement, Miss Black has been employed as a trainee trust administrator for Moore Stephens Trust & Corporate Services and intends commencing her studies with STEP next year. Miss Le Feuvre has also joined the Trust & Corporate Services team as an administration assistant.

Gillean Campbell, client services director in Trust & Corporate Services said: “Tara and Charlotte were great placement students and both are fantastic additions to our team”.

“At Moore Stephens, we enjoy engaging with young minds through JIBS and the Undergraduate Employment Programme. It means we can encourage and interact with those students who prefer to stay on the island and show them the benefits of a career in finance in Jersey.”

Miss Black and Miss Le Feuvre believe that Moore Stephens gave them insight into the wide variety of departments and helped them make an informed decision into what role is best suited to them following the completion of their studies.

Miss Black said: “The reason that Moore Stephens was so attractive to me was because they were offering the most exposure to a range of departments. This helped me decide which direction I wanted my career to go in. I’m really excited to be working at Moore Stephens and expanding my knowledge about the finance sector!”

To be eligible for the Undergraduate Employment Programme at Jersey International Business School, students must first be offered a place on the degree; then take part in a selection process operated by each participating business.
