JTC has assisted Digby Wells Environmental (Jersey) Limited to set up in Jersey, Channel Islands by providing company and relocation services. Digby Wells made the decision to move to Jersey following a visit to the 2014 Mining IndabaTM conference in South Africa which is held annually in February.

JTC has a dedicated Africa team that has been working with clients and their advisors in East, West and Southern Africa for over 25 years. The team makes regular visits to the continent and during one visit met with Graham Trusler, CEO of Digby Wells Environmental and his senior management team to discuss how JTC could support the company’s expansion plans in the British Isles with the establishment of a new office in Jersey which complements their London office to support an expanding international client base.

Digby Wells Environmental is a South African company with international expertise in providing environmental and social services to South African and international clients, with the focus predominantly on the mineral resources and energy sectors in Africa. The company’s activities are driven by the mission of being the premier environmental and social services provider to the mining and resources industry in Africa.

The company enjoys a staff complement of committed, highly trained, specialised and skilled employees, most of whom are shareholders – a structure that enables the business to remain truly employee-owned, as well as ensuring the staff take an active interest in delivering quality services.

‘We chose JTC because they have a strong track record in providing services to the natural resource sector including relocation and company services. Digby Wells and JTC also share a simple but effective principle that if our people have a stake in the business, they will do a better job for our clients.’

Philip Burgin, Group Head of Client Services said:

‘JTC has been committed to Africa for over 25 years and we are delighted to have provided a range of corporate and private client services to  assist another market leader from this continent achieve their strategic growth objectives by establishing a base in Jersey.’
