With just over a week to go, islanders are being asked to jump into the sea to raise money for 2 local charities.
‘30 Bays in 30 Days’ takes place in July when everyone is invited to swim in 30 bays throughout the month - a fantastic way to explore the island and visit old family favourite beaches and to discover some hidden treasures. It’s a wonderful challenge to do with family, friends and work colleagues and a fun way to stay active!
Why?
Embrace the summer and set yourself a new challenge
Visit new places you’ve never been before or haven’t visited for years
Ditch the car and walk or cycle where you can
Sea swimming has proven benefits for mental health and wellbeing
Sea swimming makes you feel alive and loving life!
When?
The challenge runs between Thursday 1st and Friday 31st July
Swim before work, at lunchtime, I the daytime, after work, before a picnic tea, by moonlight. Basically anytime you can fit a swim in.
Every swim will be different depending on who you are with, the tide, the time of day.
