This April, islanders are being invited to walk, jog or run off their Easter eggs for Autism Jersey.
Sponsored by Rathbones, Autism Jersey’s annual L’Etacq and Back fundraiser returns to the beach on Sunday 28th April 2019 and once again promises to be a gorgeous family-friendly morning out.
The 12km (7.5 mile) event kicks off at Le Braye slip at 9am and all walkers and runners crossing the finish line back at Le Braye will be rewarded with a hot drink, fresh fruit pots and delicious bacon or sausage rolls courtesy of Rathbones.
Commenting on the event, Rathbones’ Client Director Matthew Sutton said, “The L’Etacq and Back Walk is a fantastic event, raising funds for a marvellous local charity, supporting people on the autism spectrum and helping them enjoy some independence. Rathbones is delighted to be sponsoring the event for the fourth time in 2019.”
Organisers are hoping to smash last year’s fundraising total of £2,000 and raise even more for the charity which champions a full and inclusive life for islanders with autism, their families and carers.
Entry to the race is £10 for adults and free for children (and dogs) and anyone interested can sign up here or turn up and pay on the day.
