The Lido Wellness Centre has successfully achieved the Royal College of Chiropractors’ two Practice Quality Marks – the Patient Partnership Quality Mark and Clinical Management Quality Mark. The Centre is the only clinic in the Channel Islands to hold both awards.
To secure the two awards, Dr Marie-Christine Dix of Back to Balance Chiropractic and Osteopathy, which is part of the Lido Wellness Centre, had to demonstrate how the practice met the stringent standards outlined in the application process.
The Patient Partnership Quality Mark (PPQM) is awarded to clinics that demonstrate excellence in meeting patient expectations in areas including cleanliness and safety, privacy, communication and record keeping.
The Clinical Management Quality Mark (CMQM) recognises excellence in terms of operating within a structured and managed clinic environment. Successful applicants must prove their achievement of excellence in a range of areas including clinical audit, risk management, incident reporting, outcome measurement, patient satisfaction, emergency procedures and operational policy.
‘These two best practice standards recognise our patients’ satisfaction with the service we provide and the exemplary standards that we apply in the day to day running of the practice. We strive to provide a patient-centred and holistic approach to health care in a friendly and approachable setting, and these awards are a welcome endorsement of our ethos, which we hope to build upon in 2016,’ said director and principal of Back to Balance Chiropractic and Osteopathy and the Lido Wellness Centre, Dr Dix.
