Jersey’s Longueville Manor has been reaffirmed as the highest rated hotel in the Channel Islands in the AA Restaurant Guide 2017.
The new guide was published on Monday 26th September and features over 2,000 establishments who have been awarded Rosettes by the AA's team of professional inspectors. Longueville Manor has retained Five Red Stars and Three Rosettes. The Relais & Châteaux property is AA’s highest rated hotel in the Channel Islands, with a 90% merit score. It is also one of the top 50 hotels rated in the AA across Great Britain.
Being awarded Five Red Stars is the highest accolade that can be achieved by a hotel under the AA. They are awarded to establishments who have demonstrated outstanding examples of service, impeccable facilities, excellent food and a commitment to high quality ingredients. AA Rosettes are awarded solely by AA Hotel and Restaurant Inspectors with no influence from hotels, restaurants or other guides. Of all the restaurants across Great Britain, approximately 10% are of a standard which is worthy of one Rosette or above.
Malcolm Lewis, Proprietor, Longueville Manor, commented:
‘Everyone at Longueville Manor is very proud of our Five Red Stars and Three Rosettes. The first AA Rosettes were awarded in 1955. Since then the AA Guide has remained one of the most well respected and comprehensive guides in Great Britain. It’s a fantastic achievement to learn that we have retained our status as the highest rated hotel in the Channel Islands. This is a real credit to the entire team at Longueville Manor, who have genuine passion for the hospitality industry and a commitment to delivering a consistent level of excellence to our guests.’
