“Peacejam has been nominated nine times for a Nobel Peace Prize”
A PeaceJamSlam is being held on Saturday 13th October 2018 in the Gloucester Hall at Fort Regent as part of the Rotary District Conference. The Slam is open to young people between the ages of 14-18 and will be a combination of inspirational speakers and workshops focusing on areas of interest to young people.
Supported by PeaceJam UK and the Rotary Club of Jersey the “Slam” will offer 10 workshops on themes including “Creating Diverse Societies”, “International Development”and the Jersey Peace Trail as well as music, song and creative arts.
This is the first time that a PeaceJamSlam has been held in Jersey although young people from the Island have attended the PeaceJam UK Conference at the University of Winchester sponsored by Rotary for the last 5 years. Students who have attended PeaceJam eventshave found them “life changing”.

There will be a PeaceJam Gazebo manned by PeaceJammers at the Weekender Festival on the lst and 2nd September so young people can get more information on the event and speak to young people who have attended a PeaceJam event.
