L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa has got picnic season all wrapped up in a wicker basket this summer.
To celebrate National Picnic Week from 21stto 30thJune, the kitchen team at the AA Four Red Star L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa has created a fantastic feast to enjoy al-fresco.
Their plush picnics include a mezze platter with a selection of salami, chorizo and Parma ham, olives, gherkins, French brie and a mild Cheddar.
There’s also a choice of deliciously fresh salads including ham hock with baby gem and egg and cress; grilled chicken Caesar or beetroot quinoa with avocado and peppers, as well as freshly prepared sandwiches or wraps.
The delicious spread also comes with mini desserts and cakes and to ensure all picnic-ers stay safe in the sun, the hampers also include samples of sun cream, kindly provided by the Donna Annand Melanoma Charity, L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa’s charity of choice.
Commenting on the new picnic service, Shaun McGachan, Hotel Manager said, “Our picnic baskets prepared by our talented chefs are the perfect way to eat al fresco. I am sure they will be hugely popular with our guests who are looking to get out and about in the sunshine and enjoy our beautiful island.”
National Picnic Week was founded a decade ago to celebrate one of the UK’s popular summer traditions.
Picnics cost £29 for two people and need to be ordered 24 hours in advance. Menus can be altered to include Champagne and to cater for specific dietary requirements.
