Whether you are a fan of Superman or just want to celebrate Jersey’s connection with one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, there’s a treat in store this Christmas but you’ll have to use all your super powers to get your hands on one of them.

Whether you are a fan of Superman or just want to celebrate Jersey’s connection with one of the year’s biggest blockbusters, there’s a treat in store this Christmas but you’ll have to use all your super powers to get your hands on one of them.

Jersey Post has commissioned a Limited Edition framed gift set including a photograph of the Man of Steel, personally signed by Henry Cavill, together with a set of Man of Steel stamps issued by Jersey Post earlier this year.

The stamps caused a stir globally when they were issued in June, not only because of their stunning design but because it was the first time a range of print techniques had been brought together in one set. Each innovative stamp pays tribute to one of the Man of Steel’s super powers.

Only 50 Limited Edition framed gift sets will go on sale on 11th December, signed by the star of the movie, Henry Cavill. These rare gift sets are priced at £150 and are only available at the Broad Street Post Office in St. Helier for a limited period. A further 50 unsigned versions of the framed gift sets will also be available, priced at £65.

Gary Carroll of Jersey Post said: “The Man of Steel stamps proved hugely popular with islanders, specialist collectors and movie fans and we wanted to do something slightly different, but just as special, to celebrate the UK release of the film on DVD and Blu-ray. This will undoubtedly be another collectible item that appeals to Man of Steel and Henry Cavill fans alike.”
