As part of their ongoing support of RNLI Jersey, four AA Silver Star L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa is this month offering volunteer members of the RNLI crew a free years membership to its recently extended health club.

The monetary value of the membership packages equates to around £15,000 and will help the crew to not only use the gym facilities and equipment to keep fit but also enjoy to enjoy use of the swimming pool, spa pool, steam room and sauna.

Commenting on this, the latest initiative in the partnership between L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa and RNLI Jersey, General Manager Simon Miller said, “As part of our relationship with RNLI Jersey we were keen to look at how we could use the facilities at our disposal to directly help the RNLI and those who volunteer for the charity. We know how important it is that the crew keep as physically fit as possible and so by offering free membership to our health, they now have the opportunity to use the recently refurbished facilities at no cost to themselves.”

So far this year L’Horizon Beach Hotel & Spa has helped to raise vital funds and also general awareness of the RNLI and the vital work they do by hosting a free family Safety at Sea event on St Brelades Bay, providing all of the hotel’s younger guests with RNLI activity packs, producing in room information to help educate visitors, and has hosted a number of fundraising events including an autumnal themed floral demonstration and afternoon tea for the RNLI Jersey Lifeboat Guild.

The next event organised by the hotel to raise funds for their chosen charity is a Halloween Ball taking place this Saturday (29th October). The hotel’s Crystal Room will be transformed into a ‘spooktacular’ celebratory space and along with a drink on arrival and delicious three course meal, the evening’s entertainment also includes a fun casino and prizes for the best fancy dress.
