ROK are building a partnership with the local mental health charity, Mind Jersey as part of their growing commitment to the local community and also in recognition of their responsibilities, as a good employer. Mind Jersey has contributed to the ROK’s revised health and safety manual which now includes advice about how to develop and maintain a working environment that promotes good mental health and wellbeing. The charity is also lined up to deliver Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training for a number of ROK employees early in 2019 as part of its ambition to share this training in an increasingly wide and diverse range of working places.
In turn, ROK has commissioned a series of large posters promoting Mind Jersey, its aims and objectives, accompanied by some key messages for the public as a whole. These are to be displayed on hoardings on a number of high-profile building sites during 2019 with the first being the residential development opposite Minden Place multi-storey carpark.
James Le Feuvre, Executive Director of Mind Jersey, said: “This is a great initiative as it provides an opportunity for us to share some key messages with the public. They are setting the pace as a good employer and also as part of their commitment to the considerate constructors initiative”.
