Julia Wilkes and Chris Gambrell have taken up new senior roles within The Praxis Funds Group.

Julia Wilkes and Chris Gambrell have taken up new senior roles within The Praxis Funds Group.

Mrs Wilkes has been appointed as managing director in Guernsey and succeeds Chris Gambrell who becomes managing director of the newly incorporated Praxis Fund Services Group holding company. Mr Gambrell is now responsible for the marketing and strategy of the group’s fund activities across its network of offices in Guernsey, Luxembourg and Malta while Mrs Wilkes’ new role encompasses responsibility for the group’s fund administration activities in Guernsey.

Mrs Wilkes joined Praxis in March 2007 and was appointed deputy managing director in 2011.

Mr Gambrell said: “I feel very confident handing over the reins of our Guernsey fund administration business to Julia. Her consistent commitment to delivering high quality services to our clients during this period, and for many years prior, has made this a much deserved progression”.

The evolution of Praxis’ funds proposition will also see Chris Hickling developing the group’s wholly-owned principal management company.

Mr Hickling has stepped down from the board of Praxis Fund Services Limited to focus on his role as managing director of International Fund Management Limited (IFM) which will extend its offering of management services to encompass risk management as an Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD) solution.

Mr Gambrell said: “Chris will lead on launching IFM as an AIFMD Fund Manager and Risk Advisor. IFM already provides risk management services to UCITs funds and it is a natural progression to extend such servicing to Guernsey domicile funds that require an AIFMD solution.”
