EY has promoted Leo Boessenkool, Mark Halliwell and Sharma Mokram to audit senior managers.
The promotions reflect EY’s continued growth as well as investment in its people and their long-term careers. Those who have been promoted have demonstrated high levels of performance, professional growth and dedication to exceptional client service.
Mr Boessenkool focuses on IT audit support and data analytics and he currently manages EY’s IT risk assurance work in the Channel Islands. Having qualified in South Africa, he spent several years in IT, auditing clients listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE). He has experience in large data projects, including data migration auditing as well as the design of processes and controls for system conversions and data migration.
Mr Halliwell joined EY as a trainee in 2002. Since qualifying, he has focused on the investment management, capital market and fiduciary sectors. He has been involved with listings on the London and Luxembourg stock exchanges and has also worked with a number of fund strategies and hedge fund managers to enable them to meet their audit and Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) obligations. Under EY’s secondment programme, Mr Halliwell worked in Hong Kong with its investment management group, delivering IFRS 7 guidance to clients.
Mr Mokram joined EY in 2007. He has more than 15 years of audit experience covering a broad range of financial services, from Wealth & Asset Management, including intellectual property funds, to the auditing of insurance and reinsurance companies. He has experience of IFRS and US GAAP. Mr Mokram also completed a secondment at a large private bank.
