Applications are requested from Jersey Charities for projects in Jersey for the State Street Island Walk, 2019. Applications are to be sent to the trustees at PO Box 848, St Helier, JE4 0XA by 15th November, 2018. All applicants will be advised of the decisions by mid-December.

The Walk is now in its 29thyear and with over 23,000 walkers and £2.3M raised for local charities it is one of the biggest fund raising events involving the community on the Island.  The trustees would hope to choose 3 main charities and a further 6  to 8 for smaller amounts.

The Walk itself is a challenge and takes place on 22nd June commencing at the Elizabeth Terminal at 3 am and finishing over the Waterfront Car park.  Normally well over 1,000 people take part in the Walk, the Lt Governor's Challenge and the Relay.   Registration will open on 15thJanuary with an early bird fee with will increase at the end of February.

In 2018 the mount raised was over £88,000 all of which was distributed to local charities.
