International professional services provider Equiom took home two silvers and a bronze at the 2019 Citywealth Powerwomen Awards. Sheila Dean was awarded Silver for ‘Champion of the Year – Mentoring/Sponsoring Programmes’ and ‘Woman of the Year, Business Growth’. Equiom received Bronze for ‘Company of the Year – Female Leadership’.
Representing Equiom at the ceremony, held last month at the Rosewood Hotel in London, were Caroline Ashley from Equiom Isle of Man, Caroline Prow from Equiom Guernsey and Sophie Campbell from Equiom Jersey.
Global CEO Sheila Dean commented on the win: ‘Through the years, we have been consistently involved in the Powerwomen Awards and it is always a fantastic event, bringing successful women and companies together across the wealth sector. I am especially proud of these wins as we celebrate International Women’s Day this week – a milestone we acknowledge every year. Development and progression in the workplace is of the utmost importance and I am proud that Equiom fosters an environment where people feel confident and supported to achieve their goals.’
I am thrilled to have been recognised for the first time in the category of ‘Mentoring/Sponsoring Programmes’ and again as ‘Business Woman of the Year, Business Growth’. We have had a fantastic year for growth and promotions, spurring the creation of new roles such as Global COO and COO For the Crown Dependencies. It is an opportunistic time for the team at Equiom and I am honoured to be recognised for it.’
Established in 2014, the Powerwomen Awards highlights the female leaders of today and tomorrow and honouring exceptional individuals and companies in the private wealth industry. The winners were selected by a panel of industry expert judges from various financial, fiduciary and advisory backgrounds.
