Urgent call for Volunteer Course Marshals for Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon

MEDIA RELEASE: The views expressed in this article are those of the author and not Bailiwick Express, and the text is reproduced exactly as supplied to us

With just 10 days to go, the Standard Chartered Jersey Marathon organisers are urgently seeking volunteer course marshals to help provide a safe race on Sunday 1 October 2017.

Some 2,000+ runners are expected to compete in the Marathon and Relay Race, which is one the largest community events on Jersey’s sporting calendar. Hundreds of participants are from off island, so Organisers rely on the 150-strong group of course marshals to ensure that all runners safely navigate our scenic Island. In addition to Course Marshals, there are also a number of volunteer Start/Finish stewards and water station staff required.

Course marshals are given a limited edition volunteer t-shirt, a packed lunch and refreshments during the day, plus transport is provided to and from their stations, as required.

To volunteer please visit www.jersey-marathon.com/volunteering to complete our volunteering form and email back to us at info@jersey-marathon.com.
