Spinning for charity, tortoise-themed activities and dancing are on the schedule this weekend.

Each week, Bailiwick Wellbeing shares a selection of sporty and community local events for you to get involved in.

Jay Morris Spinathon

When? Saturday 25 February – 11:00

Where? Club Carrefour Gym

What? Come spin for an hour to raise funds for Jersey Hospice Care in memory of Jay Morris, a keen racing cyclist and founder member of the Velo Cycling Club, who died from cancer in 2003 at the age of 30.

Tortoise Takeover

When? Saturday 25 February – 14:00 to 16:00

Where? Chateau Vermont

What? Jersey Academy of Music is inviting young islanders aged seven to 11  to help them design their Tortoise for Durrell’s sculpture trail as well as enjoy some tortoise-related activities. Those will include a musical composition, artistic responses to "The Tortoise" from Saint-Saens' Carnival of the Animals and designing scutes (sections) of a tortoise shell.

Tea Dance Line Dance

When? Saturday 25 February – 14:00 to 17:00

Where? Communicare

What? Join the Step 55 Club for some dancing and an afternoon tea.

Advisa Junior Cross Country

When? Saturday 25 February – 12:00 to 14:15

Where? Pont Marquet Country Park

What? Jersey Spartan Athletic Club is hosting a Junior Cross Country for children aged seven and above.
