From dragons and mythical creatures at Mont Orgueil, to an open garden in St. Lawrence and beautiful vehicles in St. Helier, there is plenty to explore and discover this weekend.

What? The first Genuine Jersey market of the year will see 30 local produces set up inside as well as outside the Parish Hall to sell locally crafted, brewed, baked or processed items. Local musicians will also be around to provide entertainment.

Where? Domaine des Vaux, Rue de Bas, St. Lawrence
What? Explore the gardens and woodland set around a traditional farmhouse. From magnolias to camellias and ponds fringed with gunnera and arum lilies, there will be lots of species to discover. In addition, there will be a tombola, a nature trail with bird experts and a plant stall. Cream teas will be served all afternoon, £5 each.
All funds will help provide safe accommodation for young people between the ages of 18 and 25 who might otherwise be homeless in Jersey.

Where? Weighbridge Square, Steam Clock and Royal Square
What? Over 70 cars, from four local clubs and one visiting from the UK, will be gathered to help raise funds for NSPCC Jersey. Come and see the vehicles at Weighbridge Square, Steam Clock and Royal Square and help support local families and children.

Where? Mont Orgueil Castle
What? As this Sunday (23 April) marks St. George’s Day, Jersey Heritage has concocted a special programme to celebrate the famous dragon slayer!
Step back to medieval times and find out whether dragons and other mythical creatures really existed and what they might have looked like. Explore the Castle and its chapel dedicated to St. George, search for dragon eggs and meet Katrina Pike, a sea-loving writer and performer.
Usual entry fees apply. FREE for Jersey Heritage Members and children under six.
