The Guernsey office of Appleby, one of the world’s largest offshore providers of legal services, has today announced the appointment of Camilla Neal and Anthony Williams to the position of Counsel.
The Guernsey-based lawyers join six other senior promotions across the Appleby group globally including one partner appointments and five further appointments to Counsel.
Camilla Neal is a member of the corporate and commercial practice group specialising in banking and asset finance transactions. She joined Appleby Isle of Man as a trainee in 2004 and qualified as an Isle of Man advocate in 2006. In January 2013 she relocated permanently to Appleby's office in Guernsey. Camilla acts for many international financial institutions, law firms and corporate service providers advising on a full range of the key and complex legal issues which affect both their own businesses and those of their clients. She has particular experience in offshore banking and finance transactions including property and fund finance, dealing with cross-border security and insolvency issues. Camilla also provides advice on all aspects of ship and aircraft finance and registration in both Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
Anthony Williams is an Advocate in Appleby’s Guernsey Litigation and Insolvency department. Anthony’s practice covers all areas of corporate litigation and dispute resolution. He has particular expertise in high value and complex commercial litigation, with particular focus on investment fund disputes, contentious corporate insolvency matters, trust litigation and Director’s duties. Prior to joining Appleby in October 2012, Anthony practised at another Channel Islands law firm in Guernsey and prior to that in Australia. He was admitted to practice as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia in 2003 and became a Guernsey Advocate in 2012. Anthony is also admitted to the roll of Solicitors in England and Wales.
