Asset Risk Consultants (ARC) has won the Business of the Year award at the Guernsey Awards for Achievement 2014.
ARC is an independent consulting practice based in Guernsey. Since inception in 1995, they have provided investment consulting services on both funds and private portfolios and have created over 40 high value jobs in the local economy.
The judging panel of this year’s Business of the Year award said: “ARC tick all the boxes and is a great example of what is best about Guernsey’s financial sector. They are a very sophisticated business and they demonstrate commitment to all stakeholders producing both innovation and excellence in service.”
Graham Harrison, group managing director, said: “We are immensely pleased to have won this award as it so highly regarded within the Channel Islands. The main reason we entered the Awards for Achievement was to showcase how we feel we’ve diversified the finance sector, how we might encourage others to do the same for the benefit of our economy and to raise awareness of our product offering and what exactly we do at ARC.
“It’s a huge boost to morale for our team and we are proud of the fact we have grown organically to be in the position we are in now. Our team have all worked immensely hard and we’re really delighted to have won!”
Deputy Minister of Commerce & Employment, and Chair of the Award, Deputy Al Brouard, said ARC was a shining example of Guernsey business at its best.
“Asset Risk Consultants is an outstanding example of how our economy is using its strengths to diversify in these difficult times and of how a local company with the appropriate ingredients of passion and a unique business model can achieve extraordinary success on an international stage.”
ARC was shortlisted for the main business award alongside creative communications agency, Crowd Media, and retailer, Waitrose.
