Baker & Partners has been recognised as an expert in offshore dispute resolution having achieved a second-tier ranking in Chambers UK 2017, a legal directory by Chambers and Partners which ranks law practices and lawyers operating within the UK.

The ranking makes the firm Jersey’s only specialist litigation practice operating within the top-tiers of the directory, positioning it at the same level as larger multi-jurisdictional firms.

The listing describes Baker & Partners as a “highly regarded boutique practice which is considered a go-to firm for criminal and fraud cases” and also names Senior Partner, Stephen Baker and Advocate William Redgrave as notable practitioners for offshore dispute resolution, ranking them in Band 1 and Band 3 respectively.

Stephen Baker, commented:

“Chambers and Partners’ directory is among the most widely used and highly regarded independent legal guides available so to be listed in top-tiers is very positive. Our success in the rankings is largely reflective of the continued growth of our business and the hard work of the entire Baker & Partners team, who always strive to provide a consistently high-quality service for our clients. It is also a great achievement to have been listed alongside a number of much larger firms, proving that we are able to compete in terms of the quality of our services and expertise. I’m confident that our work for the remainder of 2016 and in 2017 will result in yet another high-level ranking in the next guide.”
