Barclays has launched its Digital Eagles service in Guernsey with the first Tea & Teach event held at the Guille-Allès Library.

The Digital Eagles are a fully-trained group of Barclays employees on a mission to boost the nation’s digital confidence and they are now on hand in Guernsey to provide free technology advice to both customers and non-customers.

The Tea & Teach sessions are designed to help novices better understand how to take advantage of the internet and online banking services in a relaxed environment.

“At the recent Tea & Teach session we helped attendees with a variety of digital questions from how to use online banking to demonstrating how to purchase and use apps,” said Justine Gaudion, head of local markets and a Barclays Digital Eagle. “Keeping secure online was also a high priority for many attendees so we explained how to purchase items safely online and tips to improve online security in general.”

The Digital Eagles will be holding more Tea & Teach events in 2015. For more information please visit the website for helpful how-to video guides offering practical tips on how to get started online.
