Brooks Macdonald, one of the largest independent investment managers in the Channel Islands, has relocated to new premises in Guernsey as it positions itself for future projected growth.

All Guernsey-based staff at the firm have now moved to new offices at Royal Chambers on St Julian’s Avenue, giving the firm scope to expand its investment management business further.

The Channel Islands offices of Brooks Macdonald, which last year celebrated its 25th anniversary, are responsible for spearheading the firm’s international strategy, acting as its expert discretionary investment management hub for trustees, professional advisers, private clients and charities across Europe, South Africa and the Middle East.

Darren Zaman, Chief Executive Officer, International at Brooks Macdonald, said:

“Our move to modern and up-to-date offices will continue to support the further growth of our Guernsey business and having undergone a significant restructuring of the international business we are now focused on building our Guernsey investment management business.

“We have experienced significant growth as our efforts focus on providing discretionary management and high quality financial advice directly in the local market and through advisers internationally. This approach has paid dividends to date with our recent interim report highlighting our double digit growth for the first half of the year. Our client facing team continues to grow and supportive acquisitions are not out of the question either. The new premises provide us with the flexibility to accommodate all of these plans while providing a comfortable environment that supports our collegiate way of working.”

Kevin Boscher, Chief Investment Officer, International at Brooks Macdonald, added:

“Overall, we expect 2017 to be another challenging and difficult year for investors but we are cautiously optimistic that an active and balanced approach will again deliver solid returns. Being able to offer this sort of expert insight from Guernsey to an increasingly sophisticated international investor base really sets us apart and our move to new premises is a real statement of intent to the local market.”

Brooks Macdonald’s new full address is: 1st Floor Royal Chambers, St. Julian’s Avenue, St. Peter Port, Guernsey GY1 2HH.
