In addition, Alison Parry, Executive Director, Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited, has been shortlisted by Citywealth in the category of Woman of the Year – Leadership (Professional Services, IFC) for its 2017 Powerwomen awards.

The Citywealth IFC awards highlight the excellence of advisers and managers in the private wealth sector in the major international finance centres. Judged by an international panel of respected practitioners from a range of sectors, the winners of the awards will be announced in January 2017. Powerwomen winners will be announced in February 2017.

In the 2016 Citywealth IFC awards, Butterfield was named Trust Company of the Year – Caribbean and Private Bank of the Year – Caribbean, and was Runner Up in the Trust Company of the Year – Switzerland category.

Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) Limited was also recently named one of eprivateclient’s Top 25 Trust Companies 2016.

eprivateclient is a leading UK-based website and news service for private client practitioners, including lawyers, accountants, trustees and fee-based independent financial advisers.  The Top 25 Trust Companies are selected annually through a survey of professional practitioners at more than 100 UK and UK offshore firms, with the Top 25 companies identified based on several factors, including number of client-facing trust officers/managers, total number of staff and fee income, among other measures.

Michael Collins, Butterfield Group’s CEO, said “We are pleased to have been recognised by our peers through the eprivateclient and Citywealth awards programmes.  Butterfield is focused on growing and developing our trust and wealth management businesses, and our continued receipt of accolades like these is a testament to the strength of our team and Butterfield’s standing among industry practitioners as a leading provider of wealth services for private clients internationally.”

Bob Moore, Executive Vice President and Head of Group Trust at Butterfield, said: “These nominations further reflect the expertise of our global team and their continued focus on providing a top class service to our clients.”
