Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management is looking for more than 50 enthusiastic and energetic volunteers to lend a helping hand at the up-coming Guernsey Marathon on Sunday 27th August.
The race, organised by Peter Head, starts along the seafront and finishes at the Marathon Village on the Crown Pier, taking runners along some of Guernsey’s most picturesque roads and lanes.
Volunteers are needed to look after the 400+ expected runners on the day, from general marshalling roles to manning a water station. Volunteers will receive a voucher for food and drink in the Marathon Village as a reward for their support.
Andy Finch, Head of Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management in Guernsey said, “Canaccord are once again proud supporters and sponsors of the Guernsey Marathon, which attracts hundreds of local and international runners to take part. Every year we are impressed with the increasing numbers who come to Guernsey for the event and the support the runners receive from both the locals and visitors. There is always a fantastic atmosphere for competitors, spectators and of course the volunteers without whom the event would not be possible.’
