Wealth management magazine Citywealth named Carey Olsen the Guernsey Law Firm of the Year for 2015 at its International Finance Centre Awards in London on 21 January.
From a shortlist of other island firms, Carey Olsen was selected for the accolade having worked on a number of large and ground-breaking cases during 2014. The Citywealth IFC Awards were established to highlight the excellence of the advisors and managers in the private wealth sector in the major offshore jurisdictions. Citywealth also produces its annual Leaders List of professional advisers in the field which is used as a reference tool for the industry.
In the past year Carey Olsen has also been recognised by the Wealth Adviser Awards (Best Private Client Legal Team), The Lawyer Awards (Offshore Firm of the Year), Legal 500 UK Awards (Offshore Law Firm of the Year) and Who's Who legal Awards (Guernsey Law Firm of the Year). Additionally, individuals at the firm have been awarded some of the highest accolades in their field – the ACTAPS Contentious Offshore Lawyer of the Year (John Greenfield) and STEP's Founders Award (Alison Mackrill).
