The title of the next Guernsey Institute of Directors’ (IOD) debate, is ‘Into the Cloud: A security risk or digital dream? Can it help your business rise above the competition?’ The debate to be held on February 28th, is the third in the winter seminar series sponsored by JT.
Richard Le Tocq, Vice-Chariman of the IOD Guernsey Branch said: ‘We all use and store lots of data, but how we are storing it and the security risks and legal constraints are constantly changing. This seminar looks at the latest developments and how we can harness technology to drive our businesses forward, and avoid any legal or regulatory downsides.’
The aim of the JT sponsored Winter seminar series is to provide business leaders and owners with thought provoking insight and analysis around the increasingly challenging area of optimising an appropriate digital strategy. Over a series of months, key opinion leaders and speakers have helped lead IoD members and guests through debate around what is rapidly becoming one of the key communication challenges for businesses today.
Tamara O’Brien, Deputy Managing Director, JT (Guernsey) said: ‘We have another excellent expert panel who are keen to share their significant experience and knowledge. The Cloud is an exciting business area which is rapidly becoming a must-have part of IT and technology strategy. With JT’s recent launch of the Channel Islands’ only enterprise grade Cloud solution, supported by our world class partner Dimension Data, we are pleased to support and take part in this debate and to have been sponsors of this incredibly successful winter series which has been helping ensure Guernsey is keeping ahead of the digital game.’
