Ravenscroft has appointed a group company secretary, an assistant company secretary and a money laundering reporting officer.

The stockbroking and investment management company has made a number of key appointments to its support services team in recent months with Jade Cook joining as group company secretary, Guy Hardill as MLRO and Laura Colley as assistant company secretary The appointments follow significant company growth and expansion into the UK market.

‘Ravenscroft has changed considerably in just a few years with assets under administration now at more than £3bn, offices in Guernsey, Jersey and the UK and a growing range of products and services,’ said group management director Mark Bousfield.

‘To ensure we can continue delivering what our clients deserve and expect, and to meet and exceed the regulatory and compliance requirements of the Channel Islands as leading financial services jurisdictions, it’s imperative that we have experienced industry specialists as part of the team.’

Miss Cook, who holds the ICSA certificate and diploma as well as an MSc in corporate governance, joins after five years at Ipes (Guernsey) Limited.

‘Ravenscroft is a growing company with a real focus on delivering professional services and it’s exciting to be part of that. I’m looking forward to bringing a proactive attitude to ensure the company’s corporate governance practices are to the highest standards,’ she said.

Guy Hardill brings more than 24 years financial services industry experience, including five years with the Guernsey Border Agency specialising in financial crime investigations and asset confiscations, to his role as MLRO.

‘I bring a wealth of financial services experience, coupled with a law enforcement background, which allows me to bring a pragmatic solution. I have trained with the International Compliance Association and will continue to upskill which is necessary as the amount of regulatory change never stops. The challenge will be to ensure that I can provide Ravenscroft, which is a rapidly growing company, with the latest stance on compliance matters,’ he said.

Miss Colley has 30 years’ experience in the finance industry and moves to Ravenscroft from Standard Chartered Trust (Guernsey) Limited.

‘As a locally-owned business Ravenscroft has an excellent reputation as both an employer and a stockbroker and investment manager. I hope my three decades of experience will be invaluable as I move away from trust into a new sector,’ she said.
