Sure has improved its roaming offering to guarantee their “pay monthly” customers receive the best value service when using their mobile phone away from home.
The savings are the result of Sure working closely with other international operators to establish stronger relationships between the networks for the benefit of customers.
All new rates took effect from 1 February so will be in place in time for those going on holiday over the February half-term break.
The new offering is greatly simplified enabling Sure to have the same zones across international calling and international roaming, making it easier for customers to follow the rates. The most popular roaming destinations for customers offer the best value with the greatest reductions in Zone 1, which encompasses the European Union, including the UK, and Switzerland.
Customers roaming in Europe could save as much as £7.50 per mb under the new data roaming rates, as charges for countries in Zone 1 fall into line with the existing £1.50 per mb charge for data roaming in the UK.
Customers can also take advantage of better value data and call roaming boosters which provide roaming rates at a third of the new price and call rates at the same rate if they were calling from home.
