Visitors to the 2014 Guernsey Literary Festival will this year enjoy a full programme of literary events, speakers and educational initiatives, and will also have the opportunity to experience the latest developments in digital publishing thanks to technical sponsor JT.
Throughout the festival, which takes place from Friday 15th May to Monday 18th May, JT will be providing free WiFi access throughout Market Square and within the festival Hub on Market Terrace. Organisers hope that the free WiFi access will encourage interaction through social networking around the events and by enabling attendees to explore the many ways in which stories and poetry can be shared and experienced.
Between 10am and 4pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, JT will also be hosting a tented area where staff and local school children will be offering e-book demonstrations on tablet devices to showcase the latest advances in digital publishing. This is an opportunity to learn how to upload a book to a tablet device, see how e books are presented and gain a better understanding of what digital publishing is all about.

JT is also supporting the Literary Technology Centre at the Guille Alles Library to help enable the public to go and engage with the latest devices and software.
