James Buis from Carlisle in England was first across the finish line at the Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management 2015 Guernsey marathon.
Mr Buis completed the 26 miles and 385 yard course in 2 hours, 38 minutes and 29 seconds.
Marcin Soszka from Poland came in second place in his second competitive marathon with a time of 2 hours, 43 minutes and 31 seconds and Eric Le Bouvier from France came in third in 2 hours, 51 minutes and 34 seconds.
360 runners took part in the annual marathon on Sunday 30 August. It was a record year for the event with the most international runners and the most relay teams competing.
Ulrike Maisch was the first female runner and the first Guernsey runner to complete the marathon, crossing the line in 2 hours 59 minutes and 19 seconds.
Vicky Barratt and Annie Vaudin, both from Jersey, were the second and third female runners finishing the course in 3 hours and 28 minutes and 3 hours and 36 minutes respectively. Brenton Lee, also from Jersey, was the first Channel Island runner in 3 hours and 24 minutes.
For the teams of five, the fastest team was the mixed team of Aztec 1 in 2 hours and 57 minutes with Nordbena being the first all-male team in 2 hours and 58 minutes; the Boyle family was the first family team in 3 hours and 41 minutes and Bright Tights was the first all-female team in 3 hours and 58 minutes.
For the teams of two, the fastest was the mixed team of King and DeGaris across the line in 2 hours and 49 minutes. Happy Feet was the first male duo completing the marathon in 3 hours and 14 minutes.
The fastest male and female runners over 40 years of age were Paul Butcher in 3 hours and 21 minutes and Jacqueline Bonner in 3 hours and 44 minutes.
In the over 50s John Omahony was the fastest male in 3 hours and 10 minutes and Mandy Evans was the fastest female in 3 hours and 38 minutes.
Maurice Taylor was the fastest male over 60 completing the course in 4 hours and 38 minutes and Gail Sutton was the fastest female in that category with a time of 4 hours and 58 minutes.
Rodney Hyams was the oldest competitors in the marathon at 72 and he won the trophy for fastest runner over 70 in a time of 5 hours and 33 minutes.
A new prize for the 2015 event was given to the fastest male and female entrants running their first competitive marathon. Volodmyr Opanasiuk completed the marathon in 3 hours and 20 minutes and Laura Bampton took home the trophy for her first competitive marathon with a time of 3 hours and 38 minutes.

“The atmosphere on the day was fantastic and it was great to have all the crowds from Seafront Sunday cheering on the runners as they made their way to the finish line on Crown Pier.

The 2016 Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management Guernsey marathon will take place on Sunday 28 August.
