Mary Ward, Assistant Manager of Client Services at Equiom Guernsey has passed the STEP Certificate in Foundations, boasting the highest mark for the Channel Islands in this summer’s exam sitting. The specialised qualification from STEP was launched in July 2016 and to date there are only 48 people qualified globally.
Mary commented on her new qualification: ‘Having worked in finance since graduating from university 16 years ago I previously achieved my STEP Diploma, giving me a solid foundation in trust administration. This latest exam brings my expertise to a new level. I’m thrilled to have passed this elite qualification and it is such a great result to have achieved the highest mark.
‘Having a STEP Certificate in Foundations qualified member of staff ensures that Equiom meets the Guernsey Financial Services Commission’s requirement for administering foundations while also adding an extra dimension to wealth planning for our clients.’
Equiom’s teams in Guernsey exceed 70 staff with knowledge and experience across a range of disciplines including trust, corporate, foundations and family office services as well as specialist areas such as property, investment portfolios, yachting, crew management and fine art.
