FCG helps 1st CENTRAL to prestigious British award nomination

Guernsey-based FCG, the parent and development company for 1st CENTRAL motor insurance company, has helped the UK insurer win a nomination at the British Insurance Awards (BIA).

The BIA is the foremost awards for the sector and FCG’s involvement will highlight Guernsey’s leading position in FinTech at a ceremony in July where 1^st CENTRAL will vie for Insurance Broker of the Year.

One of 1^st CENTRAL’s key differentiators in a busy insurance market is its bespoke, full retail insurance platform built by FCG and called FOCUS; it allows the group extreme agility with the ability to collate, use and analyse data across quotes, bookings, claims and other ongoing support.

The flexibility of the FOCUS platform plays a significant part in 1^ST CENTRAL being a consistent top 10 seller on UK price comparison websites.

FCG group chairman, Mike Leonard, said the BIAs were the insurance industry Oscars and being part of a team to be nominated was highly prestigious.
