As the Guernsey Photography Festival continues to grow, organisers are asking sponsors to come forward to support the continued expansion of the event series.

The Festival was created in 2010 and has featured exhibitions and talks from some of the most prominent names in international photography as well as launching a pan-island educational programme.

It has attracted interest from across the world and is now a well-respected event in the cultural calendar. Its recent International Competition attracted over 650 entries from 58 countries and its ongoing programme of events, including an annual artist in residence and a series of talks by international photographers, has proved popular locally.

Jean-Christophe Godet, festival director said: “The Guernsey Photography Festival aims have always been to combine creating a strong link with the local community and putting Guernsey on the cultural international map.

“For 2016 we are continuing to build on our tradition of bringing together some of the world’s most talented and interesting photographers and creating events that have local community wide appeal. This is the reason why the backing and support of local businesses and local organisations are crucial to our long-term ambition.”
