The Guernsey Literary Festival has launched a new website ahead of this year’s event on 16-20 September.

The website was built by Anni Bisson of AB Design and is designed to be more informative and user-friendly. AB Design was a finalist in the 2014 Customer Service Awards and has also gained recognition through the Best of Guernsey business community, where the company placed fifth nationally in the web design category two years running.

Festival Director Catriona Stares said: “The new website is bursting with information about the Festival’s speakers, events and competitions as well as sections on sponsorship and volunteering. And, of course, you can book tickets online when they go on sale on Monday 15 June.

“We’re extremely pleased to have such a wonderful online hub for the event and Anni has done some remarkable work for us. As a volunteer for the Guernsey Literary Festival and a self-confessed bookworm, Anni was the perfect woman for the job.”

“I’ve very much enjoyed building this site – with new speakers being confirmed all the time, the site is going to be updated frequently until the Festival in September,” said Mrs Bisson.

The Guernsey Literary Festival programme is still in the process of being finalised but the line-up, featuring several high calibre authors including Will Self, Sophie Hannah and A L Kennedy, is almost complete. New additions include mother and daughter Deborah and Lottie Moggach, cookery writer Prue Leith and actress-turned-novelist Helen Lederer, best known for her role as dippy Catriona in Absolutely Fabulous.
