The GP Homelife Show, in association with Guernsey Gas opens on the 10th November at Beau Sejour and runs all weekend offering plenty of activities to keep visitors entertained as well as providing ideas and inspiration for the home.
Seventy local and UK companies will be showcasing their new products and services and there will be lots of expert advice too. From kitchens to bedrooms, from fixtures and fittings to the latest gadgets, plus fashion, food, beauty and gifts, it’s all under one roof at the GP Homelife Show.
Ben Birchall, five times Isle of Man TT race bike and sidecar champion will officially open the show at 12 noon on the 10th November.
The main highlight of the show will be the Stage Kitchen, sponsored by Pavilion Kitchens & Bedrooms with well-known local chefs showcasing their culinary skills. Patrick Filipe, Sueco’s new head chef, will be introducing many interesting ideas on new dishes, whilst Matt Simpson will be showing off signature dishes with full time apprentice Bradley Travers.
The Wedding Zone is another new feature for this year’s show, offering a range of services to make that big day very special. There will be the opportunity to have fun with the photo booth and discuss that perfect dress!
Children will be well catered for too at the Creation Station, a new show feature for 2017 offering free children’s activities. Two activities will be available each day, one of which will be aimed at children aged two to seven and another for those aged seven to 15. They will include crown and mask making and painting and decorating fridge magnets and tile coasters.
The show organisers, EC Events are delighted to have teamed up with Caritas Café, who will be running the Caritas Community Café at the show, run by volunteers, to help deprived and vulnerable people in the Guernsey community. As well being a great place to take a break and enjoy a bite to eat, the café will help raise funds and awareness of the work of Caritas.
