To celebrate RBC Wealth Management’s 10th year of sponsoring Harbour Carnival, the business is launching the RBC Fundraising Cup which will be awarded to the event team or individual who raises the most amount of money.

Taking place on 11 August, Harbour Carnival is an evening of fundraising fun, in and around the harbour and RBC is keen to recognise those who play their part in raising money for local good causes.

Lisa Barnett from RBC Wealth Management’s Guernsey Leadership Team commented: ‘The Harbour Carnival is a great community event enjoyed by thousands of islanders each year. In addition to hosting an array of fun events, an important element of the Harbour Carnival is to raise as much money as possible for a local charity – in this year’s case The HUB’s Sunflower Project. We hope that the RBC Fundraising Cup will incentivise people to push that little bit harder to get more sponsorship in support of these fundraising efforts.’

Dustyn Molver from organisers of Harbour Carnival, the Guernsey Round Table added: ‘We’re delighted that RBC Wealth Management is introducing this Cup in recognition of the person or team that raises the most amount of money. RBC has been a great corporate partner over the last decade which has seen over £160,000 raised for local charities. RBC will also match fund the winner’s fundraising total, up to the value of £500, which will further drive the money we raise each year.’ Further information can be found at harbourcarnival.gg, where entry forms can also be downloaded.
