Harriet Black, account director at Orchard PR, has been named in PR Week’s ‘Top 30 under 30’ – the PR industry’s definitive guide to up-and-coming PR talent nationwide.

It is the first time a PR professional from the Channel Islands has featured on the annual list which includes a range of agency and in-house PR professionals. The Top 30 was compiled following a thorough judging process involving a panel of established industry figures.

“This is a significant achievement in a highly competitive industry,” said Orchard PR managing director Steve Falla. “The ‘Top 30 Under 30’ is extremely well regarded within PR circles and every year gives a great insight into what the next generation of PR practitioners are capable of. Harriet is listed alongside executives from major brands like Ford and Samsung, and top UK agencies such as Lansons and Edelman.

“This shows the high regard that her peers hold her in and is a just reward for the hard work that she puts into both working with her clients and developing her own skills.

“It also puts Orchard on the map as employing and developing talent that is on a par with any top UK PR firm.”

Ms Black joined Orchard, the Channel Islands’ largest PR agency, in 2011 and was made an account director in 2014. A PR graduate, she is an accredited practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and holds the CIPR Diploma in Public Relations. She is also a member of the Channel Islands CIPR committee and in 2014 was shortlisted for a CIPR PRide Award as an Outstanding Young Communicator.
