KPMG in the Channel Islands’ Tax department has strengthened with the addition of two senior tax managers in Guernsey.

Sinéad Leddy and Paul Beale build on an already diverse and talented team committed to providing leading tax service and advice to clients.

They join the firm at a time when the tax environment is fast changing. Sinéad Leddy and Paul Beale are both highly proficient and experienced professionals who will be able to expertly guide clients through the new financial landscape.

Sinéad Leddy has significant experience across a broad range of financial services businesses including banks, insurance companies, securitisations and all aspects of investment management. She joins KPMG in the Channel Islands after two years as the Technical Manager at Guernsey Finance where she worked closely with industry professionals, regulators and government considering the impact of global developments for Guernsey’s financial services industry. In this role, she sat on a number of industry working groups and committees and is now the current KPMG representative on the Guernsey Investment Funds Association (GIFA) Technical Committee. Her primary role at KPMG focuses on funds structuring, particularly in alternatives including private equity, infrastructure and debt, as well as investor reporting. She also advises on international corporate tax transactions including due diligence and tax advisory for multinational groups.

Mr Beale moved to Guernsey in 2007 and is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with experience in expatriate and private client taxation. In his new role with KPMG in the Channel Islands, he is utilising his experience to manage a portfolio of personal and high net worth clients, leading the department’s private client business. This includes providing Guernsey and UK tax compliance services, residence and domicile guidance and advising on tax effective wealth structuring as well as non-resident company and trust tax issues.

Tony Mancini, Executive Director, Tax, Guernsey, says: "The tax environment in which our clients operate has never been more dynamic, particularly as the OECD’s BEPS initiative evolves and the debate around tax morality continues to influence public opinion and tax policy. Bringing in experienced professionals with the skills to help our clients adapt to this changing world is vital to KPMG’s practice, so I am delighted that Sinéad and Paul have joined us. They bring complimentary skill sets that will enable us to address the full range of tax services that our clients demand."

Mrs Leddy is married to Michael and they have two young boys; they spend a lot of time in the beautiful Guernsey outdoors.

Mr Beale is married to Alice and he enjoys playing and watching all sports, in particular playing and coaching Touch Rugby. Away from the sports fields, he enjoys walking his dog Rosco around Guernsey’s various cliff paths and beaches.
