NHS England and C5 Alliance have announced today that Mark Cooke will be leaving C5 and Guernsey at the end of August to take up post as the Director of Commissioning Operations for NHS England, covering the whole of the South West of England.

Andrew Ridley, Regional Director of NHS England, South said: "I am delighted that we have such an experienced and capable person joining the team in the south. Mark has an excellent track record of achievement in his previous roles and I am looking forward to working with him.”

Marc Lainé, Managing Director of C5 Alliance said “Although Mark has recently been made a director of C5 in Guernsey and we will really miss his contribution to the continuing success of the company, I know that he will make a fantastic contribution to the NHS where he has spent most of his career.

“I regard Mark as the best Chief Officer that HSSD has ever seen and I know his passion lies in the Health and Social Care arena. Despite this he has helped C5 in Guernsey establish itself as the leading business and IT solutions company on the island. We wish Mark and his family well for the future.”

Mark Cooke said: “I would like to thank C5 Alliance for giving me such a fantastic opportunity to gain really valuable experience in the private sector. They are a really brilliant company to work for. My family and I are sad to leave Guernsey as it is such a wonderful island but we are all really looking forward to our new adventure. I am personally really looking forward to joining NHS England and I am very privileged to have been offered such an important role.”
