A trio of newly-weds have raised over £4,000 for The Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation.
Maxine Le Normand, Liz Lainé and Claire Tannahill came up with the idea to give other women the opportunity to dig out their favourite frocks and enjoy a glamorous evening for a worthy cause.
Around 150 ladies attended a fun-filled evening at St Pierre Park to raise money for the local charity dedicated to supporting premature babies, children and their families during difficult times.
The ladies behind this event have all experienced the invaluable support given by the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation and were keen to lend a hand to help raise money for the local charity.
A number of local businesses including Catherine Best, Creasey’s, Rocks and The Day Salon donated some fantastic prizes to the event’s raffle to conclude a hugely successful evening.
"It exceeded all of our expectations," said Liz Lainé. "We are so proud and would like to thank all of the ladies who gave so generously and who made the night so memorable. We would also like thank all of our friends and suppliers who helped to make the evening happen especially Bori at St Pierre Park, Annette at Save The Date, Sammy at Q-Sky and Shirley Burtenshaw along with Hazel Piriou for the flowers."
"It was brilliant," added local teacher and guest Abi Kimber. "I really enjoyed getting dressed up to support a worthwhile charity and we all had so much fun!"
Jo Priaulx, one of the founders of the Priaulx Premature Baby Foundation, said that the charity was extremely grateful for the enthusiasm and effort shown by everyone involved.
She said: "The primary aim of the charity is to raise money to assist the local Neo Natal Unit and to provide as much support as possible to families during and after premature births. We are delighted that so many people want to help us achieve our goals and we look forward to more successful events like this in the future!"
