New buzz in St Peter Port

There’s a new buzz about Town thanks to The Busy Queen Bee. Claire Boscq-Scott, customer services expert, is launching a monthly speed networking event in Guernsey.

The 2014 IoD Director of the Year for a Small Organisation established Speed Buzzing in Jersey this summer. The event has proved a resounding success for those individuals and businesses hoping to develop their network of contacts in the island.

"Following on from the success of Speed Buzzing in Jersey I received interest in establishing a similar programme of events in Guernsey,’ said Ms Boscq-Scott. "As awareness of the events grew I knew that replicating this tried and tested model would create a fantastic opportunity for professionals in Guernsey to develop future collaborations, make new contacts and nurture relationships. We are also running the Speed Buzzing programme in Jersey, which means local businesses can develop pan-island connections."

Each event caters for a maximum of 20 people to ensure attendees have the opportunity to meet all members of the group.

"There’s a 15 minute introduction, followed by an hour of speed buzzing and an additional 15 minutes of networking before the event comes to a close," said Ms Boscq-Scott.

The first Speed Buzzing event in Guernsey will take place on Tuesday 20 January at Le Petit Café between 12 noon and 1.30 pm.

There’s a chance for all attendees to extend their networking experience with an optional Bistro Express 30 minute lunch menu at Le Petit Café.

"I have often attended networking events that have come to an end, but felt it would have been beneficial to continue the conversation with new contacts. Using Le Petit Café as a venue provides attendees with an opportunity to do this without feeling rushed to leave."
