Pinnacle Health Limited’s fulfilment depot based in Guernsey has started redundancy discussions with its 13 members of staff.

Pinnacle Health Limited (trading as Simply Supplements), informed staff on Tuesday morning that it was likely that the Guernsey depot would cease fulfilment operations at the end of May 2015. The company has placed all roles ‘at risk of redundancy’ although no final decision has yet been taken.

A spokesperson representing the owners of Pinnacle Health said: “It is with regret that it seems likely the business will need to relocate its warehouse depot from Guernsey to the UK.

“Staff were informed of the position this morning and they remain our first priority. Pinnacle Health is working with an external HR consultant to meet each individual staff member to explain the process in more detail; to discuss possible alternatives to redundancy and to answer their questions.

“The company is doing everything it can to support our staff and their families in this period of uncertainty.

“Pinnacle Health’s warehouse has been operating in Guernsey for the last four years and the current position is not a reflection on its success but, rather, it demonstrates a change in the market.

“Over the last three years Pinnacle Health has experienced compound price increases from its suppliers and, with the change in consumer buying patterns, this has inevitably meant that the business has to change."

“Pinnacle Health will work with all staff to ensure they are aware of every step and decision and, where needed, the business will endeavour to assist them with seeking new employment.”
