Rossborough Guernsey has taken on a new commercial account handler to look after its growing number of commercial clients.
Mark Fitz-Gerald, who has 10 years’ experience of working in the legal industry, has recently moved to the island with his partner and two children.
‘Although I’ve only been in the island for a few months, I was already aware of Rossborough as they have an excellent reputation,’ he said.
‘Having worked in law for 10 years, I’m excited about doing something new and making a success of it. I realise I have a lot to learn but the team at Rossborough is very experienced and so will be able to share their knowledge with me plus is also a real focus on ensuring staff have access to training and qualifications which I know will help me fulfil my role to the highest standard.’
Mr Fitz-Gerald, 32, is originally from Newcastle Upon Tyne, and has a degree in journalism from the University of Lincoln. Before moving to Guernsey, he worked for two law firms including eight years with True Personal Injury Solicitors where he was a criminal injuries claims handler and litigation executive.
‘Rossborough has a growing number of commercial clients and so as well as looking after them, I am also looking forward to the challenge of bringing in new business. Based on what I have already learnt about the way in which Rossborough handles commercial clients, this should be relatively easy as they seem to always go the extra mile to ensure they understand what a client needs and deliver a policy that exceeds expectations,’ he said.
Director Steve Moullin said that Mr Fitz-Gerald was a welcome addition to the team.
‘Mark is already proving to have a natural understanding of the needs of our commercial clients. Rossborough’s client base is very diverse from sole traders up to multi-national companies and our recent acquisition by Arthur J Gallagher & Co means we are now able to provide our clients with coverage for complex risks in more than 110 countries which is an attractive proposition, particularly for commercial clients.’
