Trust administrator Jodie Martel has been presented the ICSA prize for best paper in the investment module of the International Certificate in Finance and Administration exam.

This is the second prize Miss Martel has received while studying towards the qualification; she was presented with a certificate for best performance in the accounting module last September.

ICSA’s prizes are awarded after each examination session to the most exemplary student in the module denoting an impeccably high standard of work.

Jodie Martel has worked for Saffery Champness since February 2015 after completing her A Levels at the Grammar School and Sixth Form Centre and has recently been promoted from trainee trust administrator to trust administrator.

Miss Martel is a member of a fiduciary team specialising in the establishment, management and operation of offshore structures and is responsible for the daily administration of a portfolio of clients.

Saffery Champness managing director, Nick Batiste, said: “We are committed to learning and development and supporting our staff through their professional qualifications is a key part of this.

“The further recognition from ICSA of Jodie’s high standard of work is a fantastic achievement and we are very proud of her hard work and commitment to her studies.”

Miss Martel said: “It’s great to be able to study towards a qualification while working and I am grateful to Saffery Champness for this opportunity.

“To receive one prize from ICSA was a complete surprise and I'm thrilled to have received a second. The exams were challenging but have added to my knowledge of working within the financial sector.”

Miss Martel has now successfully completed the three exams for her ICSA Certificate and has started studying towards the Diploma.
