Experienced human resources practitioner Viv Roussel has joined Saffery Champness as learning and development manager, further strengthening the firm’s focus on mentoring and internal progression.
Ms Roussel moved into the learning and development profession in 1997. On completion of a post-graduate diploma in Personnel Management and having gained membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, she went on to qualify as a practitioner and coach in Applied Emotional Intelligence.
She has held a number of senior human resources roles and was responsible for introducing the learning and development function at a major private bank.
At Saffery Champness Ms Roussel will manage a structured learning and development programme in line with the firm’s business objectives to maximise employees’ knowledge, skills and positive attitude.
The skills and abilities of its people is a high priority for Saffery Champness, with the objective of retaining, training and recruiting the best available employees to grow and adapt the business to changing market conditions.

Mr Batiste said: “Viv’s dedication to professional learning and personal development is a very good fit with the Saffery Champness ethos. People are the most important resource in any service business and we must collectively improve, empower and invest in our people, developing them into future leaders.”
